You use the symbols tool for drawing? Interesting. I always found that tool option annoying, maybe I should try it out again because It seems to work very well for you C:

Well, we do most of the work with a mouse. There's something we have in common. ;-P
Working with line art is almost impossibly frustrating with a Wacom Tablet. All that precise clicking on line points and curves.... rrrgh! Roughing out the animation is much more suited for the pen.
