Hangman Extreme!

Posted by mongoid - October 16th, 2007

Hangman Extreme wrapped up on Monday. It would have been out sooner, but I've really just begun working in Actionscript 3.0 and it has proven to be a very verbose and tricky language to pick up.

I've really enjoyed working in the new ArmorGames offices here in Irvine, CA. It's working out quite well with my school schedule at UC Irvine. Though I'm sad that I've had to drop a number of other projects after joining AG. It's a full time gig. I had an awesome project for MoFunZone that fell through, as well as a potentially lucrative project with an upcoming Sony title.

:-( Poop...

jmtb02, the creator of Dark Cut and Ball Revamped (1, 2, 3, XP, xTreme, Son of Ball, Revenge of Ball, etc) , and Luka M., the creator of Nuclear Eagle and the Classroom series, have turned out to be good office mates. We have a lot in common, and thanks to Dan McNeely and John [jmtb02], I'm now thoroughly addicted to Halo 3. Luka has been fervently enjoying Orange Box in his downtime. It looks as though he's already blasted through Portal and Half-Life Ep.2 and is now enjoying TeamFortress 2, which by the way is one of the best designed multiplayers I've played since, well, Team Fortress Classic. DemoMan FTW.

Working for Dan McNeely is fun. I can't really call him my boss. I feel weird about it. He's only ten days older than me. So for now I'll say that I contract for him. Hahaha! The whole team took a trip to Knotts Scary Farm in Los Angeles. They dress up the entire park in spooky Halloween decorations and hire actors to cake a bunch of latex on their faces and scary the living bejeezus out of the patrons. Here's a video of my lovely fiancee being chased around with a chainsaw.

Man, the zombie people picked on her. I'm the tall guy on the right laughing his ass off. You get a great shot of the back of my head.

I look forward to my upcoming projects, especially since I can devote a much larger chunk of my creative energy toward them.

Keep your eyes peeled.

PM me if you have any ActionScript 3.0 questions. [ NOTE: I said "questions." I will not program your game for you. ]

I didn't know you were with AG now. That's cool. You are quite talented.
