if you want, you could just animate that tail seperately in front of the statue OR simply duplicate the tail animation in the dragon symbol and drop it in front of the statue as a mask.... actually you'd have to reverse all the fills on the animation frames to get that desired effect, but very doable
Yeah, that sounds totally doable.
I've received a bunch of ideas since I posted, so now it's time to sift through each one and see which is the easiest or most practical to implement.

Hey any idea of the progress percentage of the project?
Keep it up, it's coming along great.
Now that the level artwork is done for 3/4 of the game, and most of the custom music has been completed by MaestroRage, I'd say it's well over halfway done. Probably in the 70-75% range. The only big things left are:
GUI design
Enemy animations
Enemy AI
Particles
Moving platforms
Sound fx
Odds and ends
That might seem like a lot. But you should have seen the list before.

I think you need to have a flash submission that makes it on the front page, or a weekly/monthly award.
The pinch is that I can only have a blog post appear on the NG front page once every 2 weeks.
