mongoid's News

I posted some more cutscene art. For example, This would be the establishing shot for level 1. There's more artwork for the other levels on the blog.

Let me know what you think!

[Conjurer] More cutscene art

I wasn't really pleased with how the old Ogre Grunt looked. The little goblins already carried a spear weapon, and the proportions seemed a bit awkward. The new design really puts the Ogre Grunt into a different class. Now he's more of a brawler, sporting gauntlets similar to the final boss, but without any magical properties. The real threat from him will be his ability to soak up damage, and should he get close enough, he'll grab the hero and pummel him a handful of times before chucking him across the screen.

What do you think? Bigger art here.

I thought y'all might like to see the final look for the end-game boss. He has two stages: His normal form and god-like form.

Hope you like it!

Hey everyone! Long time no blog! I've added a new post to the production blog with a long update on the latest implementations. In case you're lazy or hate clicking on links, I've included a pic with this post that shows off some tasty new artwork for the level 1 boss, and a few poses for the enemy archer that is almost fully implemented.

Let me know what you think! It's good to be back after a long vacation and honeymoon.

All the levels have been constructed! Check out a quick youtube preview of each stage. Read more about it over at the blog! Check out the original YouTube page to view a higher quality video if you like. The one on this page is a bit too compressed.

This project is really coming together. Now on to developing the game's enemies, attacks and bosses.

Joy!
